.... enough to meet and talk to children from Harewood School. Their chatter, laughs, oohs and aahs and their interest made the hearts come alive. Check it out in their own words.

Thank you Room 7.
Two heart shapes sewn together, stuffed or not, embellished, embroidered, CQ'd,quilted, plain or fancy, anything goes. Add a loop for hanging. Choose your size. For ease of posting, envelope size is a good measurment. You can send them flat just add a note 'To be stuffed'. Sign (or not), add a message and where the hearts are from. This is a small measure of something nice to give in this terrible time.
Lol, I particularly liked the 'gobsmacked' comment and the child who said they couldn't pick a favourite heart as they liked all of them :). Glad to see that it brightened their day though I think the CTV filming was definitely a high point!
ReplyDeletePity my download doesn't extend to watching longish videos as I would love to see their expressions.
Cheers,
Robyn
I was with the Harewood School Group and my daughter wanted to go back again in the weekend to have another look. We took the rest of the family and took some photos. We went on face book encouraging others to go and take a look. It brings a tear to the eye to know people are thinking of us. Thank you so much to all the heart makers and thank you for putting it all together. It might not seem like a lot but it means a lot knowing those hearts are made with love and special thoughts. God Bless
ReplyDeleteI am Liz - Room 7 at Harewood Primary's teacher and we are about to get our sewing kits ready to make our own hearts. The class are still talking about their special day out and I am hearing lots of comments about what they want to put on their own hearts. The children also really appreciated the kindness and support shown by so many from all around the world.Well done Evie - a wonderful project- I am going back to see it again.
