Two heart shapes sewn together, stuffed or not, embellished, embroidered, CQ'd,quilted, plain or fancy, anything goes. Add a loop for hanging. Choose your size. For ease of posting, envelope size is a good measurment. You can send them flat just add a note 'To be stuffed'. Sign (or not), add a message and where the hearts are from. This is a small measure of something nice to give in this terrible time.

The exhibition!
The hearts go around this whole space. My point and shoot digi doesn't do them justice but professional photographs are being taken. I took pictures over two days so once I post these I bet I find some I have missed posting. Enjoy, play 'spot my heart' (they are ALL there) and feel really, really good that you made this happen.

What a fabulous installation of the hearts! They seem to have grown and puffed themselves with pride to be hanging in such a wonderful place.

ReplyDeleteSheila, Gwynedd, Wales, U.K,
Wow-wee!!! The museum staff did a wonderful job. It looks like a huge heart wave (like the cheering human wave at a sports match) welcoming those looking at it and enticing them to come for a closer view.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the pictures, Evie, and also for leaving the one with the explanation on it a readable size when it is clicked on :).
Cheers,
Robyn
Thank you for sharing these photographs with us. I am deeply touched by all those hearts; the love is overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteEvie, what an absolutely fantastic show. Thank you for organising it and all the work you did, I can only imagine just how fantastic it would look in reality! Hoping it will still be on display at the end of Nov, when I can get to see it!!! Congratulations!!!

ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic. What a great way to display all the hearts! Well done everyone and big thanks to you Evie for organising it all.
ReplyDeleteWhat does it say about me that I would have loved the job of sorting those hearts into colours! Do you think you can get therapy for that? Maybe that's what patchwork is, therapy for those with a compulsion to sort colours!
To Evie and everyone who created the display, it is absolutely Magical.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the work involved and for the opportunity

Our family went to the Museum especially today to receive 4 of these amazing hearts. I think I can see 2 of them on the 5th picture... I would love to know who made them, but really, I just would like to thank all of you 'hearters'. It has been tough living here, and it really helps to know you are not alone;, my daughter (9) said the exhbition looked like a wave of love - we have visited it several times, and it is really special to us that so many people thought of us, and that we get to keep a piece of love to take home with us and keep. Thanks you all form the bottom of our hearts - I am in tears but in a good way!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteIt is so special, warm and huge!
Thank you for hosting the amazing heart initiative and sharing the lovely exhibition.
It is great honor to see my hearts among all the lovely ones in the waves of love on the walls!
